Using HallMatch

What HallMatch is

HallMatch is a venue discovery directory. We help people find community venues to hire across the UK. We are not a booking agent, event planner, or party to any hire agreement between you and a venue.

Information accuracy

Listings for unclaimed venues are compiled from publicly available sources including venue websites, Google Maps, local authority directories, and charity registers. This information is extracted automatically and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. You should always confirm details — including pricing, availability, and accessibility — directly with the venue before making any booking.

No guarantees

We do not guarantee the availability, pricing, suitability, or accuracy of any listing. We do not guarantee that venues will respond to enquiries or that information provided by venue managers is accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HallMatch is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on listing information, including but not limited to incorrect pricing, inaccurate accessibility information, or venue unsuitability. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted with an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of HallMatch after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Submitting Enquiries

When you submit an enquiry through HallMatch, your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and event details are forwarded directly to the venue's contact email. We do not read, filter, or moderate enquiry content.

By submitting an enquiry you consent to sharing these details with the venue. We may also send you a follow-up email to check whether you received a response — you can opt out of follow-ups at any time.

You must not use the enquiry system for spam, marketing, or anything unrelated to genuine venue hire.

Managing a Venue

Claiming a listing

By claiming a listing, you warrant that you are authorised to manage the venue — for example as an owner, committee member, booking secretary, trustee, or equivalent. We may revoke access if we believe a claim is fraudulent.

Content you provide

You grant HallMatch a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display any content you upload (including photos, descriptions, and pricing) on the platform and in promotional materials. You warrant that you have the rights to any content you upload, particularly photographs.

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide. Once you claim a listing, your edits take precedence over our automated data.

Requesting removal

You can request removal of your listing at any time by contacting us or emailing [email protected]. We action removal requests within 5 business days.

Venue Listings & Data

We create listings from publicly available information. Venues do not need to opt in to be listed. Any venue operator can request corrections to or complete removal of their listing using the contact details above.

Claimed listings are controlled by their verified manager. Unclaimed listings are maintained by our automated systems and may be updated periodically from public sources.
