Built in the 1700s as the closest boozer to Eel Pie Island, an infamous hippy rock and roll commune, the Barmy Arms is a pub bursting with history. In the heart of Twickenham, it was often the last stop before heading over to see the likes of the Rolling Stone. Known for being loud, lively and musical, the Barmy Arms is a pub with plenty of character. Our roots are in all things alternative and fun, thanks to being the closest boozer to small enclave Eel Pie Island: an infamous hippy rock & roll commune. You’ll often find present day rugby fans singing heartily during the summertime after a visit to nearby Twickenham Stadium.
