About
The Centre was the first purpose-built community facility to be opened by EastendHomes, opening in March 2009. It was reopened as the Bernie Cameron Community Centre in 2019, named after former Board member and tenant champion Bernie Cameron, who was instrumental in the regeneration of the estate and the construction of the centre. It offers a wide range of activities with a number of well-established groups, and is ideal for organised leisure activities; meetings; training seminars; conferences; parties; celebrations; and community events for up to 90 people. The adjoining fully-equipped modern kitchen with hatch window to the main hall provides the facility for serving food and refreshments.
