Brookland Village Hall

Welcome to Brookland Village Hall. Our village hall is nestled in the small village of Brookland in the Folkestone and Hythe district of Kent, about 5 miles (8 km) west of New Romney. The village is a small community of some 200 dwellings, with a primary school, church, cemetery, and our wonderful village hall. The Hall is just 2 minutes from the A259 between Brenzett in Kent & Rye in East Sussex. It was built on land gifted to the village by John Paine in 1990, and placed in the Trust of the Parish Council for the express purpose of building a village hall for the benefit of the local community. A lot of hard work went into raising funds and getting the hall completed and ready for use. It opened in 1991 and, with the exception of Covid, has been in constant use ever since. If the walls could talk they would recall hosting many happy family gatherings for birthdays, weddings & christenings alongside more sombre occasions of wakes and memorials where a peaceful garden and the welcoming calm airy space is much valued and appreciated by all. Regular meetings for clubs, charity events, playgroup and yoga classes are also enjoyed and provide a valuable meeting space for the community. Our hall can be used for many functions including, but not limited to the following: Private Events, Childrens Parties, Wedding Receptions, Wakes, Business Meetings, Health / Wellbeing Classes, Book Clubs, Hobby Clubs, Music / Drama Rehearsals, Music / Drama Performances, Parent / Toddler Groups, Senior Citizen groups...and much more - just enquire!
