How to Book

Single Booking Process: Choose a date from the Hall Schedule on cavershamhall.org and click the blue '+' symbol. Enter details and create an account on the booking system. Follow the steps on the 'Make Booking Request' page. Booking is provisional until email confirmation is received within 3 working days from [email protected]. A refundable deposit of £60.00 is immediately payable upon confirmation. The booking hire charge is payable no later than 14 days before the booking date. Access details to the hall are emailed 24 hours before the booking. Deposit is returned by online transfer no later than 7 working days after the booking, provided bank details are sent to [email protected] and terms are met. Recurring Booking Process: Choose dates and times from the schedule. Follow the steps to request your booking. If successful, an email confirming your booking will be received within 3 working days. Access details to the hall are emailed 24 hours before your first booking. Invoices are emailed 1 month after your first booking, payable in 14 days. Payment Details: Deposit for single booking is £60.00 (refundable, due upon confirmation). Hire charge is due no later than 14 days before booking date. Payment method is online banking/bank transfer to Barclays, account name Caversham Hall, account number 80249300, sort code 20-71-03. Deposit is returned by online transfer no later than 7 working days after the booking, providing all terms and conditions have been met. Hirer must email bank details to [email protected]. Cancellation Policy: For single bookings, within 7 days of hire date, 50% deposit returned to hirer. For recurring bookings, two months' notice by email to [email protected]. Booking Restrictions: No adult birthday parties, no wedding receptions, no wedding anniversaries. Children's parties accepted (up to age 13). Bouncy castles allowed in South Hall with hirer's own insurance certificate emailed to [email protected] 7 days prior to booking. Maximum height 3 meters. Hirer/representative must be on premises at all times during hire period. Hall is not licensed for the sale of alcohol; hirer must apply for a Temporary Event Notice from Reading Borough Council if selling alcohol. No smoking in halls or grounds. No access to land at the back of the Hall, except as an emergency escape route. Any portable electrical appliances used by hirer must have a valid PAT test certificate. Hirer is responsible for holding relevant music license if running a class where people pay to attend and copyrighted music is played.
