Chilworth Village Hall offers venue hire with a range of facilities suitable for various events. It comprises a Main Hall, a Small Hall with a partition, and a Committee Room. The maximum capacity for the hall is 120 people. The venue includes a fitted kitchen equipped with a cooker, microwave, wall-mounted hot water dispenser, and fridge, with crockery and cutlery available free of charge. Ample parking is available at the rear of the hall. The hall also features disabled access and disabled toilets. It is situated next to The Chilworth Arms pub, off the A27, and is adjacent to the Village Green, which has a play area and trim trail. The hall has been newly decorated inside and out.

How to Book

Applications must be made on the booking form, available from the Bookings Secretary. Bookings can be confirmed up to twelve months in advance. A copy of the form will be returned as a statement of account, and full payment is required in advance. Bookings are only confirmed after full payment. The Chilworth Hall Management Committee (CHMC) reserves the right to refuse any booking requests. If the Hirer cancels the booking one month or less before the booking date, the full charge will be made. Hirer must ensure the Hall is fully secured and left in a clean and tidy state with all rubbish removed completely from site. Not permitted for hirers or caterers to use bottled gas (LPG), barbecues, or other open flame heating or cooking appliances in the Hall or grounds. No smoking permitted in any part of the hall buildings. No decorative materials may be placed in the Hall without consent of the CHMC. It is forbidden to use nails, hooks, sellotape, gummed paper, etc., to fix decorations. Any equipment or belongings left overnight are at the owner's risk and must be removed by 9 am the next morning to avoid overlap with other hirers. Full terms and conditions are contained on the Conditions of Hire page on their website and apply to all bookings. Hirers undertake to indemnify the CHMC of any loss, damage, injury, costs or charges arising out of the hiring. Hirers should take all responsible precautions to ensure the safety, maintenance and security of all parts of the Hall, its fixtures and fittings. The main door should be kept closed.
