How to Book

For one-off bookings, more than one calendar month notice for cancellation results in a 50% refund. Less than one calendar month notice results in no refund, unless an alternative booking is secured (then 50% repaid). Outside organisations hiring rooms are required to have their own Liability Insurance and provide a copy. A copy of the Safeguarding Policy for Children and Young People (if relevant) and Vulnerable Adults (if relevant) is also required. Small local organisations may be given permission to use the URC's Safeguarding Policy and Procedures. Regular bookings are considered and discounts may be available upon request. The length of booking must include setting-up and clearing-away time. On rare occasions, adjustments to regular bookings may be necessary if the church requires the hall for one-off services, with alternative dates or refunds offered. There is typically a 1-3 week period in July and August when halls are unavailable for major maintenance work.
