Built for William III for personal entertaining, The Little Banqueting House is an ornate and intimate venue with a rich sense of majesty and history, set slightly away from the main palace. It offers stunning views over the River Thames and the Tudor and Baroque architecture of Hampton Court Palace. It can also be approached by river boat. The highlight of its sumptuous interior is the spectacular paintings and ceiling murals by Antonio Verrio, dating to the 18th century. It includes exclusive use of a private walled garden.
