How to Book

Available for hire on a sessional basis to individuals and groups. Sessions are 9am – 2pm, 2pm – 6pm, Evenings from 6pm. Download the Booking Form from the Shorwell Parish Hall website. Payment for hire should be made in advance to the booking secretary. Minimum age of hirer is 18 years. The Village Hall Committee reserves the right to withhold the full hire fee if the hall cannot be re-let after cancellation. Rules and Regulations: No blue or white tack, or sellotape on walls or floor; drawing pins and tacks are also not allowed. Apart from birthday cake candles, no naked flames, candles, or tea lights. Be considerate to local residents regarding noise, especially for late-night bookings. All emergency exits must be kept free from obstruction. Hirers are responsible for their own risk assessments and reporting any safety issues or accidents immediately. Specific safeguarding policies apply for sessions with children or vulnerable adults (excluding private family celebrations), requiring a current Safeguarding Policy and satisfactory DBS checks for staff/volunteers.
