The Lamb Inn is one of the oldest pubs in England, dating from 1180, with cellars from 1180. It has ancient features including a well, a secret passage, gargoyles, a crypted cellar, and a superb huge original fireplace. The venue offers a first-floor function room suitable for various events, including comedy, theatre, jazz club, quizzes, and live music, which comes with its own bar. There is also a medieval undercroft or vaulted chamber, primarily for tours, but potential for private events can be inquired about directly.
