How to Book
Contact the Facilities team (01293 438362 or [email protected]) between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM for general information, availability, and to arrange a viewing. Occasional hirers must pay the full hire charge to confirm the booking. Regular hirers are invoiced monthly in arrears. Confirmation will be issued via email or post, along with a copy of the 'Information for Hirers' document. Occasional hirers will be met on-site by a duty officer at the start of their hire. Regular hirers will retain a key. Hirers must not enter the building before the hire start time and must leave promptly at the end. Terms and Conditions apply to all community centre hires from Crawley Borough Council. These cover hirer responsibilities, payment, cancellations, fire safety, loss/damage, security, and specific rules for different types of parties. Hirer Responsibilities: Provide full and accurate event details, including expected attendance and activity type. Comply with all security, safety, and emergency procedures. Ensure the venue is vacated quietly, clean, and tidy at the end of hire. Switch off lights, appliances, and heating. Use recycling bins where provided. Responsible for costs of utilities, insurances, cleaning, and refuse disposal (for commercial leases, likely similar for event hire beyond basic cleaning). Obtain necessary licenses/permits (e.g., Temporary Event Notices for alcohol, PRS/PPL for music, SIA for security if charging entry). Adhere to food hygiene legislation for catering; deep fat fryers generally prohibited without prior approval. No interference with building systems (electrical, fire safety, security, heating, sound limiters). No damage to walls/fixtures with decorations; all decorations and equipment must be removed.
