About
Ashford Railway Club (Kent) is a family-friendly members club located at Bath Meadow, Beaver Road, Ashford, Kent TN23 7RR, just opposite the international station. Also known as the British Rail Sports & Social Club, the venue has its own access road leading to a car park with plenty of parking. The club features a members bar and a separate function room suitable for various events. It has a stage area with power sockets for DJs or bands, accessible via a fire exit from a separate unloading area. A sound limiter (set to 90db) is in place for performers. The club has over 900 members and hosts indoor sports leagues (Crib, Pool, Darts), a weekly slimming club, monthly line dancing, regular railway reunions, a junior darts academy, a metal detecting group (Invicta Seekers), and Ashford Striders. There are also fortnightly and weekly bingo sessions and an in-house charity group, The Mugs Club, which organises events to raise money for local groups.
