Brownes Hall offers a Main Hall with a bar, stage, and green room, along with two additional meeting rooms. It also features a small public bar (being refurbished as a cafe/bar for morning trade and sports bar for evening trade) and kitchen facilities for hire. The Main Hall has air conditioning and the Lounge Bar has newly covered seating. A new fire alarm system is in place. The venue is suitable for a wide range of events including social events, wedding receptions, children's parties, private functions, corporate events, educational, cultural, and sporting activities. The Main Hall is occupied by Brightstart pre-school during term time during the day, and regular weekly users include scouts, over 60's, spiritualist church, line dancers, and Saturday night bingo. Carterton Social Centre Club permanently hires a members-only bar.
