About
Cliffe Hall was purpose-built in 1989 to provide space for a wide range of community activities, events, and classes. It is owned by The Cliffe Feoffees, a charity established in 1603. The hall is located in a peaceful residential precinct behind the ancient St Thomas a Becket Church, near the East end of Cliffe High Street in Lewes. It was refurbished in 2020.

How to Book
Contact by phone, email, or Booking Enquiry Form with details of activity, dates, times, and numbers. Viewing can be arranged if unfamiliar with the hall. A provisional booking is made upon agreement, and a Hire Agreement is sent for completion. Upon receiving the Hire Agreement, an invoice is issued. Full payment is required, or if booking is more than six weeks away, a 50% deposit can be paid immediately with the remainder due no later than 10 working days before the booking. Booking is held upon receipt of funds and fully confirmed once full payment is made. Approximately one week before the booking, arrangements are made to hand over a key and go through opening/closing, fire, health and safety procedures. For regular hirers, invoices are sent at the beginning of the month with payment expected by mid-month. Booking time must include setup, clearing, and cleaning. A 15-minute buffer is allowed between hires, with the first 10 minutes free for the hirer and the last 5 minutes free for the next hirer to avoid congestion.
