How to Book
All booking and general enquiries should be made by telephone to Mrs. Maggie Hearn on 07507 092682. A deposit is requested at the time of booking, with payment preferred by bank transfer. Terms & Conditions are available on the Datchet Village Hall website. Detailed hire charges are not publicly listed. Mrs. Maggie Hearn, the booking secretary, will discuss all aspects of booking, including hire charges. Variations to published charges may apply for regular bookings. Hirer must be over 21 years of age. Named Responsible Person must be present at all times during the event. Hire times must be adhered to. Hall must be cleared immediately after the function unless prior arrangement is made. All supplied equipment (chairs, tables) must be put away, and hirer's own equipment removed. All areas used, including the kitchen, must be left clean and tidy. Hirer is responsible for the fabric and contents of the hall and the behavior of all persons using the premises. Proper supervision of car parking is required to avoid obstruction; cars must not be parked on grassed areas. Hirer is responsible for making good or paying for any damage. Sale of alcohol requires an Occasional Licence, agreed with the Management Committee. No animals (except guide dogs) are allowed unless agreed for a special event. Cancellation policy is at the discretion of the Management Committee. Commercial users must provide their own insurance. The hall provides buildings and public liability insurance, and a music licence. Large items like bouncy castles may require additional insurance. Caterers should be aware of Safer Food Better Business protocols.
