How to Book

To place a hire request, click on the 'plus' (+) signs on the calendar on their website for the desired day. Confirmation will be provided as soon as possible. Hirer must be 18 years old or over. All events must cease at midnight, except for New Year's Eve (1:00 am). Hire does not include exclusive use of external grounds, which are available for public use. Use of grounds for events must be agreed with the Booking Secretary. Payment for hire must be made before the event via direct payment to Natwest Bank account No. 72669543, sort code 51-61-23, using the invoice number as a reference. Twenty-eight clear days' notice is required for cancellation, otherwise payment will be forfeited. Access is gained via a key safe; the code is issued the week prior to the event. Conditions apply to amplified music: doors and windows must be closed for internal amplified music, and volume controlled, especially after 10:00 pm. External amplified music is not permitted between 11 pm and 9 am daily. A Temporary Events Notice (TEN) from East Devon District Council is required if the hirer wishes to sell alcohol. Hirers are responsible for ensuring attendees do not cause nuisance to residents or customers of the Community Shop, particularly regarding parking. Vehicles and their contents are left in the car park at the owner's risk.
