How to Book

Facilities may be hired by the session, up to four hours. Standard sessions include Morning, Afternoon, and Evening, though timings can vary by requirement. Applications for hiring should be made in writing on the application form to the Lettings Officer with payment of the correct fee. It is advised to book as soon as possible due to popularity. Cheques should be made payable to Ferndown Village Hall and are accepted 28 days prior to the event date. Cancellation up to 16 days before the event incurs no charge. Cancellation within 15 days of the event will incur a 50% hiring fee. Cancellation within 7 days of the event will incur the whole hiring fee (an appropriate amount may be retained from the deposit). Premises will not be hired to persons under the age of 21. Smoking is prohibited within the premises. Hirer is responsible for ensuring premises are left clean and tidy, including sweeping and taking away refuse sacks (hirers must provide their own). All kitchen utensils and equipment must be left clean and put away. No function shall continue after 11:00 PM unless by prior arrangement with the Trustees. Hirer is responsible for switching off all electric lights and water heaters upon vacating. Hirer must ensure all emergency exits are kept clear and vehicles are parked in marked bays. Hirer must familiarise themselves with and comply with Fire Safety Guidance. Hirer is responsible for appointing stewards in emergency situations. No copyright dramatic or musical work shall be sung without the licence of the owner of the copyright. Hirer shall not sublet or transfer the letting.
