How to Book

Application for hire must be made on the Committee's Booking Forms and sent to the Booking Officer. No verbal or other bookings are valid until confirmed. Full amount payable as shown on charges leaflet at time of submitting booking application. Payments ideally by bank transfer or cheque (payable to Messingham Village Hall). Cash payments in exceptional circumstances. Payments needed 14 days prior to hire. Hirers must be householders over 18. Hall must be left as found; extra cleaning costs will be charged if not. Hirer responsible for cleaning the hall and ensuring it is left in the condition it was found. Cleaning after hire can be arranged for weddings/large functions at an additional cost. All rubbish must be taken out and disposed of in bins at the front of the hall. Hirers are responsible for proper use and care of the hall accommodation. Any accidents must be entered in the Accident Book in the kitchen's First Aid cupboard. Regular bookings for Fridays and Saturdays may be cancelled if the Hall is requested for another function (normally at least one month's notice given). Bouncy castles/inflatables permitted, but hirer must ensure provider has correct insurance. Messingham Village Hall accepts no liability. If alcohol is to be consumed, a £100 refundable Damage/Cleaning charge is required. Fireworks not permitted within the grounds of the village hall. Hirers are indemnified against Public Liability risks incurred whilst using the premises/grounds. Persons using the car park or leaving items in the building do so at their own risk. Management Committee not responsible for loss/damage to items or vehicles.
