How to Book
To book a single event, visit the bookings diary on the website, check availability, click on the '+' sign for the desired date, and complete booking details (new hirers must register). Allow a 30-minute gap between bookings for setup/clearance. Booking requests are sent to the hall secretary for authorization (usually within 1 week). A telephone number is required. Payment must be made within 14 days of invoice issue date to secure the booking; a deposit may be possible if unable to pay in full. For regular bookings, visit the bookings diary, check availability for a regular slot, then email [email protected] with requirements and booking type. The secretary will confirm availability. No booking is confirmed until the full hire charge or agreed booking deposit has been received. The bookings secretary normally responds within 2-3 working days, aiming for 24 hours for bookings less than 1 month away. Full payment or a minimum deposit of £50 is required within 14 days of invoice issue. Full invoice value is due within one month of the booking date, otherwise, the booking may be cancelled. Some bookings require a £200.00 refundable damage/disturbance bond, refunded within 14 days if the hall/s and outside areas are left clean and tidy, no damage occurs, and no disturbances/complaints. A minimum cleaning charge of £75 applies if premises are left dirty. Cancellation refunds: More than 3 months notice: 100% refund; 2 to 3 months notice: 75% refund; 1 to 2 months notice: 50% refund; Less than 1 month but more than 7 days notice: 25% refund; Less than 7 days notice: No refund. Available times: Sunday to Thursday 09:00 to 22:30, Friday & Saturday 09:00 to 24:00. Parties for young people from teenage to 25 years will not normally be accepted. Hirer must notify the Bookings Secretary when applying for a booking if a 'Temporary Event Notice (TEN)' will be applied for. The committee reserves the right to refuse hire if a 'TEN' is involved.
