The South Woodford Islamic Centre, also known as SWIC or South Woodford Muslim Community Centre (Qur'ani Murkuz Trust), is a new centre opened in April 2022. It offers ample space suitable for a wide range of events including parties, wedding receptions, shows, children's parties, conferences, seminars, meetings, talks, dances, concerts, plays, craft and antique fairs, and indoor car boot sales. General facilities include wheelchair access, a lift, and a large, modern, and well-equipped shared kitchen with a commercial 6-burner gas cooker, microwave, two large sinks, two under-counter refrigerators, constant hot water boiler, and large work surfaces. Dinner and side plates, cups, saucers, and cutlery are included in the hire. The centre also features a fully licensed modern bar with full bar or waiter service available. A two-acre field is available for hire, suitable for sports events, dog shows, or marquees. The basement houses evening and weekend schools for children.

How to book
Agree to terms and conditions and complete the 'SWIC Hall Hire Booking Form'. Outside imams are NOT permitted to conduct Nikah or any other event at SWIC. Proof of ID (original photo IDs for bride, groom, and two witnesses) required for Nikah. Failure to provide results in loss of fees and requires new date and fee. Nikah ceremony takes approximately 30 minutes.
