How to Book

Applications for hire must be made in writing on the appropriate form and sent to the Hall Secretary. The signatory on the application will be deemed to be the Hall Hirer. Every application shall be accompanied by payment of the deposit required and full hiring charge, in order to secure the booking. A deposit of £25 is required to secure a booking. The total hire fee plus deposit must be paid in advance (non-returnable) to secure the booking. Payment can be made by bank transfer to Santander (Sort Code 09-01-55, Account No. 02516704, St. Julian's PCC - Ref. Name of Hirer/Date Booked) or cheque payable to St Julian's PCC, sent to Parish Office, St Julian's Church Hall, Rectory Road, Shoreham, BN43 6EB. For one-off bookings, notice of at least one week must be given to the Hall Secretary for a refund of the hire charge. For regular bookings, one month's notice in writing to the Hall Secretary is requested. Registered charities and organisations providing a service to the community may qualify for a reduced rate, as will those making a series of regular bookings. All fees are reviewed in March and then implemented in September. All Hall Hirers are responsible in the event of loss, damage or injury arising from their activities and should therefore have valid Public Liability cover in a sum not less than £2,000,000. Booking is conditional upon complying with the PCC's Safeguarding Policy or an equivalent policy of your own. A Kingston Buci Church Hall Hire Safeguarding Agreement must be completed for all applications. No intoxicating liquor is to be brought onto the premises without prior specific permission from the Hall Secretary. Alcohol must not be sold on the premises at any time. The 'No Smoking' rule is strictly adhered to on the premises and in the immediate surrounding area. The hirer is responsible for ensuring that the Hall, including kitchen, storeroom and toilets, is left clean, swept and tidy with chairs and tables stacked away at the end of the hire period. All rubbish arising from the hire must be removed.
