St Michael's Church Hall offers two versatile spaces, the Main Hall and Room 3, available for both one-off events like parties and regular meetings or group activities. The Main Hall features badminton court markings and can accommodate up to 100 people for seating and dancing. Room 3 is suitable for smaller gatherings of up to 40. The hall includes a kitchen, available to Main Hall hirers for an additional charge, primarily for laying out food and washing up for one-off events, with cooking possible for regular groups. Chairs and tables are provided free of charge. There is an off-street car park shared with the adjacent Scout Hall, with space for approximately 25 vehicles. The Church Hall is a short distance from the church, with vehicular access via The Meadway and the north end of Routh Lane. If bringing soft play or other equipment, consult the Parish Office in advance to ensure the room is suitable.

How to Book

Bookings must be made via the online booking form on the website, with at least one week's notice. The Parish Office cannot accept bookings or payments by phone or email. Allow up to two working days for a response. Full payment is required at least one month before the event, or as soon as possible if within a month; bookings may be cancelled if payment is not received 14 days prior. Booking periods should include time for set-up and clean-up. A 10% surcharge for public liability insurance may apply if the hirer does not have their own. Alcohol may be served with permission if not sold; a Temporary Event Notice from West Berkshire Council is required for alcohol sales. Functions for 13 to 19 year-olds are not permitted in any of Tilehurst Parish Council halls, which may apply here.
