About
The Pines Calyx is a multi-award-winning, carbon-negative eco-venue located in the secluded St Margaret's Bay, overlooking the White Cliffs of Dover and the English Channel. It is designed with health and well-being in mind, constructed from local chalk and recycled materials, and run by the environmental educational charity The Bay Trust. It is noted for being the first venue in Europe designed and built using cradle-to-cradle principles.

Tiered hiring rates are available, taking into account community, VCSE, public sector, and corporate expectations. All surpluses from fees subsidize the environmental education work of The Bay Trust. Pines Community Initiative: From December 2025, local individuals, groups, and organizations can use the Pines Calyx free of charge for an event/workshop for one or two consecutive days.
