The Wedgewood Rooms is a 400-capacity independent live music venue in Southsea, regularly hosting national and international touring acts, comedians, club nights, tribute nights, film festivals, quiz nights, and independent theatre. It is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC). Attached is 'The Edge', a smaller 100-capacity room for local acts, smaller touring acts, DJs, club nights, acoustic sets, stand-up shows, after-parties, and battle of the band competitions.

Step-free access from the street into all areas of the building, including the venue itself, toilets, and bars. Personal assistance tickets are provided for customers who would otherwise be unable to attend, on an individual and show-by-show basis. Contact the venue in advance via email with the show name in the subject line. Evidence may be requested. Personal assistants are expected to remain with their charges. Unfortunately, due to venue size and fire exit siting, a viewing platform cannot be provided. Space and safe access for wheelchairs can be provided for seated shows; notify the venue in advance. For customers with a medical requirement for seating, this must be organized in advance by emailing [email protected]. Seating is limited and, due to Health & Safety reasons, will be at the very back of the venue with limited visibility. No dedicated parking. Parking is available on side streets around the venue. Some sites close to the venue are available for Blue Badge holders. Artist/tech access: Sound position is centre rear of the venue, floor level. Lighting control is raised up two standard steps. Monitor position is stage left at ground level. Two dressing rooms and a separate artists' toilet are both stage right and floor level. Stage is 2ft 6inches high, accessed both stage right and stage left by 3 standard fixed steps. Artists or technicians with specific needs should contact the venue to discuss.

Two venue spaces are available for hire with limited availability. Weekend dates are often booked well in advance with touring shows. It is advised to check the website for date availability before inquiring. To hire either venue, email [email protected] with the following information: preferred date(s), type of event (live music, comedy, corporate, etc.), if the event is for a specific project or charity, and event running times. Responses are typically within a minimum of 5 days.
