How to Book

Enquiry method: Email [email protected] or call 0779 9216217. Deposit required: 30% of the full booking fee at the time of booking to secure dates and times. Balance due not less than 14 days before the hire date. An additional £100 deposit is required for weddings, parties, or similar events for breakages/damage/unacceptable condition. Cancellation policy: Inform Booking Secretary/Trustees as much in advance as possible. The committee/Trustees reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee. Hirer responsibilities: Supervision of premises, contents, and attendee behavior; Responsible for all damage and loss, and costs of repair/replacement; Ensure no disturbance or excessive noise outside the hall; Ensure all music finishes by 23:45; Evacuate premises orderly in case of fire, call 999, assemble at far end of car park; Note fire exit locations and extinguisher locations, inform guests; Record all accidents in Accident Report Book (kept with First Aid Box in kitchen); Make proper car parking arrangements, ensure no highway obstruction, minimize noise on arrival/departure; Replace items to original positions at end of hiring; Leave premises and surrounds in clean and tidy condition; Remove and take away all rubbish (litter must not be left outside); Lock and secure the premises; Ensure kitchen, cooker, taps, electrical equipment, and all internal lights are turned off; Ensure all windows are securely closed; Sweep and wash hall and kitchen floors where necessary (cleaning equipment provided); Wipe clean and return tables to table store (small tables accessible near front); Return chairs (stacked in piles of 7) to chair store at the back of the main hall; Comply with all regulations from Fire Service, Local Authority, Magistrates Courts (especially for events with music, dancing, stage plays, public entertainment); Obtain any required license for sale/supply of alcohol (Temporary Event Notice available through Somerset West and Taunton Council, current charge £21, ten clear days' notice required). Committee rights: Cancel any hiring if premises are required for use as a Polling Station; Refuse or cancel a booking at any time with seven days' written notice and offer of refund (not liable for other payments, no responsibility for loss/damage to property).
