How to Book

Enquiries for the Richard Mayo Centre (which includes the hall) should be made via the contact details provided or by visiting the website. Bookings are subject to Terms and Conditions of Hire, which must be agreed upon by a responsible adult Hirer. Hirer accepts full responsibility for terms and conditions. Hirer must be a responsible adult. Adequate risk assessments required, especially for activities with children and vulnerable adults. Preference given to charitable organisations (aim for >50% of hire time) and organisations/individuals with an ethos consistent with Kingston URC. Consumption of alcohol in moderation is at the Centre Manager's discretion. Hirers charging for alcohol need a Temporary Events licence. Bookings not normally taken for events likely to create noise or nuisance. Policy of non-discrimination by gender, age, race, religion, or sexual orientation. Kingston URC reserves the right to accept or reject any booking and may require a suitable organisation reference. Games of chance not permitted; tombola and raffles only with prior agreement. Hirers for children/young people/vulnerable adults must have a Safeguarding Policy and use DBS. Incidents must be reported. Hourly bookings at the discretion of the Centre Manager. Commercial bookings generally accepted Monday to Saturday, 09:00-17:00. Evening bookings accepted at the discretion of the Centre Manager if criteria like 'public service' or 'strategic relationship' are met. Not available for letting on Sundays or bank holidays unless in exceptional circumstances.
