How to Book

To book the hall, a "Booking and Confirmation of Booking Form" (available from April 1, 2014) must be completed and returned to the Booking Secretary with full payment via cash or cheque. Cheques are only accepted if sent through the post. Single hire bookings require advance payment. Refunds for cancelled events are at the discretion of the Management Committee, and special events or private individual hires include a 10% non-returnable deposit. Hirers must be over 18 years old and the hall must be used for lawful purposes only. It is the hirer's responsibility to return the hall in good condition, report any damage, and cover repair costs. The hall must be locked, all windows secured, and all rubbish bagged and removed by the hirer upon leaving. Fire doors must remain clear, and fire regulations must be followed. Subletting is not permitted. Bouncy castles are not allowed in the hall or annexe. Only Blu-Tac should be used to stick items to walls; sellotape is prohibited. Hirers may be surcharged for any damage or defacement to the hall, fittings, or equipment. It is recommended that hirers have appropriate public liability insurance. For events like discos, dances, and parties, sufficient adults/stewards are required to protect the premises and maintain order, with a general guideline of one adult for every ten children under the age of eleven.
