Step-free Entrance

Main entrance is an automatic single-width door, push pad activated (80cm from floor), 90cm door opening width, small lip on threshold (2cm or below). A fixed loop system is available in the Museum area, and staff are trained to use it.

How to Book

Bookings can be made via the Hallmaster website, by email, over the phone, or at the Parish Council. Provisional bookings must be confirmed with a completed Hiring Agreement and deposit within two weeks, or they will be cancelled. Hirers are responsible for supervision of the premises, its fabric, contents, and the behaviour of all persons using it. Hirers must ensure the premises are vacated by 11:30 pm. Hirers are responsible for cleaning the hall and kitchen after use, including sweeping/mopping spillages and disposing of rubbish in provided bins. No dogs are allowed, except Accredited Guide and Assisted dogs. Hirers must obtain necessary licenses for alcohol sales, performing rights, gaming, betting, and lotteries. Compliance with Fire Authority and Local Authority regulations is required. Food health and hygiene legislation must be observed if preparing, serving, or selling food. Electrical appliances brought in must be safe, in good working order, and have Portable Appliance Test Certificates available. Key collection for hirers is from the Samuel Wickens Centre between 9:00 am - 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm - 5:00 pm, Monday to Saturday. Weekend hirers collect keys on the preceding Saturday. A deposit is separate from the hiring fee and can take up to 28 days to be returned.
