Getting started
Claim your hall on HallMatch
Take over an existing listing so you can keep its details up to date and manage the hall.
Find the listing and choose how to verify
Find the hall by name or postcode and check its address. You must be authorised to manage it.
- Open its claim page. Enter Your name and Your email, or check the Claiming as address if signed in. Choose Your role at the hall.
- Under How we confirm it’s you, choose Send a code to the hall’s own address if you can access that inbox. Choose Send the code and follow the sign-in and code instructions shown. Enter the six-digit code from the hall’s inbox, then choose Open [hall]. If no code has been sent yet, choose Send the code to [address] first. Send it again becomes available after the countdown; use the latest code.
- If you cannot access that inbox, choose I can’t get at that address. Enter Phone number and How are you connected to the hall?, then choose Send the claim. Explain how HallMatch can check your role, such as a committee page on the hall’s website.
- Read the receipt. If asked, open your sign-in email and choose Sign in on the page it opens. A manual claim is reviewed, usually within two working days.
While your claim is being checked
Your dashboard shows Claim under review. An existing hall’s listing, diary, enquiries and people stay unavailable until approval. You do not need to submit the claim again.
New halls you added yourself are different: you can edit your own draft while it is reviewed. If your claim receipt says the email did not send, use its resend option.
If you cannot claim the hall
If the hall is already managed by someone else, ask the person in charge to invite you through People. If they have left, or you cannot reach them, contact HallMatch with the hall’s name and postcode so we can help with access.
Screenshots use an example hall and fictional details. On a phone, some navigation is under More or the arrow beside the Diary heading.
