The hall diary

Start using the hall diary

Set up your rooms and existing bookings before sharing availability.

Where to goYour hall → Diary

Set up in this order

  1. In Your listing → Rooms and prices, add the spaces you hire out. Prices are optional for starting the diary.
  2. Open Diary and choose Start with an empty diary if offered. If there are no rooms, use Create Main Hall or add rooms in Your listing.
  3. Add standing groups under Regular hirers, then one-off bookings with Book. If there are no regulars, choose We have none on the checklist.
  4. Compare the diary with your existing booking record, including future dates and holiday breaks.
  5. In Diary → Settings → Hireable hours, check each day and time. Changes save automatically; wait for Saved. Share availability only after your bookings are complete.
Choose Day, Week or Month. Book adds a hire; select an entry to open its details.

Still seeing the setup panel?

Choose Start with an empty diary and check that the hall has at least one room. You do not need an hourly rate: free and whole-day hires are supported.

A room without a price can leave Rooms and prices unticked, but it does not block bookings. Set an individual booking’s total under Guests, deposit, notes → Price, using 0 for a free hire.

Keep it useful day to day

Record bookings taken by phone or email too. Select an entry to change it; More for this booking (⋯) → Print the week makes a paper copy. Sharing availability is optional and does not expose hirers’ contact details.

Screenshots use an example hall and fictional details. On a phone, some navigation is under More or the arrow beside the Diary heading.
