Hiring a hall
Find a hall and send an enquiry
Choose a suitable venue and give the hall the information it needs to help you.
Find a suitable space
Search for halls near your preferred location. Compare capacity, facilities, accessibility, photos and the kinds of events each hall hosts. Check the room details as a venue can have more than one hireable space.
If a hall shares its calendar, use it to check free and busy times. A free time is a useful starting point; the hall still needs to agree your booking.
Send a useful enquiry
- On the hall’s listing, enter Date and Guests in the enquiry card. If you have no date yet, tick I’m flexible on dates.
- Choose Ask about [date], Ask about your date, or Request this slot when a free slot is shown. This opens the remaining fields; it has not sent anything yet.
- Fill in From, Until, What’s the occasion?, Your name and Your email. Add a phone number if you would like a call, and put essential needs under Anything the hall should know?.
- Choose Send to [hall] or Request this slot at the bottom. Read the receipt to see whether it was sent and whether a temporary hold exists.
What happens next
The hall handles its own enquiries and booking arrangements. Watch your inbox, including spam or junk, for a reply. If you need to follow up, use the hall’s contact details or the instructions in your enquiry confirmation.
Agree the final price, deposit, access and cancellation arrangements directly with the hall before treating the booking as confirmed.
Screenshots use an example hall and fictional details. On a phone, some navigation is under More or the arrow beside the Diary heading.
